Jim Landers has been appointed sales and marketing director of logistics company Megafreight. He brings to the role 35 years’ experience over a variety of disciplines in the industry. From his early career as a stevedore in the London docks, he has held sales and trade management roles with P&O Containers (P&O Nedlloyd), senior management roles with Kuehne and Nagel (including global perishables), and was previously sales and marketing director at Röhlig Grindrod. Megafreight, which is one of the largest privately owned South African freight forwarders, is focusing on expansion, Landers told FTW. “Our intent is to grow organically, and my role will be to help spearhead that growth,” he said.
