Kodav Logistic Solutions has just added nine new Iveco Stralis trucktractors to its fleet, rapidly expanding it to meet the demands of a growing market in long-haul trucking, according to MD Corné Pretorius. From a Johannesburg head office, the company operates on both the domestic and over-border markets – operating Kodav Logistics Solutions, Kodav Bulk Logistics and Kodav Express business units. It also adds cargo handling and consulting to its product offering. The company has infrastructure in Durban, Johannesburg, Beitbridge, Harare, Lusaka, Blantyre, Lilongwe and Beira. “With a large customer base covering SA, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia, we have now also extended our service offering to Angola and the DRC,” said Pretorius. In association with its SA, Zimbabwe and Malawi partners, Kodav operates over 200 dedicated tri-axles, superlinks, reefers and low-beds. “And, with the vehicles registered in SA, Zimbabwe and Malawi,” Pretorius added, “this gives us excellent coverage of the entire region.” New drop-sided tipper trailers take a pride of place in the trailer fleet. “These are very versatile units, carrying containers, bagged products, pallets and bulk cargoes,” he said. The company operates much of its business in transport contracts with the region’s large multinationals. CAPTION One of the versatile drop-side trailer units in the Kodav fleet.
