Safmarine has appointed Dirk Hoffmann as the new Safmarine Southern Africa cluster manager. He takes over from Jonathan Horn who this month took over as Southern Africa cluster manager for Maersk Line. South African-born Hoffman returns to South Africa after having spent an expatriation period of nine years with Maersk in the United Kingdom. He has been with the AP Moller Maersk Group for 15 years and brings a wealth of international experience in the containerised shipping industry. Hoffmann will take on his new role in December this year and will be based at Safmarine Quay in Cape Town.
