Integrated logistics centre opens in UK

Dachser in the UK officially opened its new integrated logistics centre in Northampton in June. According to Bernhard Simon, CEO of Dachser, the new facility is geared for global integrated supply chains. Representing an investment of ¤26 million and occupying a 7.4-hectare site, it is located on the Brackmills industrial estate to the south of Northampton. The new facility houses not only the logistics centre, but also the company’s UK head office. The entire facility comprises a 5 948-sqm transit terminal, a 10 560 sqm contract logistics warehouse which can accommodate up to 20 000 racked pallet positions, and a 1 954-sqm two-storey office building. “We are continuing our growth.
