For those of you who have the misfortune to have to work over the festive season, you’d better diarise that Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) will be shutting the doors at the Durban container terminal (DCT) and the Pier 1 terminal on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The specific hours of operation surrounding the terminal closures on December 25 and January 1 will be: Cease operations on Friday December 24 at 18h00 and resume operations on Sunday December 26 at 06h00; Cease operations on Friday December 31 at 18h00 and resume operations on Sunday January 2 at 06h00. TPT has also asked FTW to let you know that it will extend the free storage periods and export stacks by one day in respect of each day not worked.
