The loading and transport of up to 40 cranes used on construction sites is one of the major projects undertaken by Meadowdale-based Reegans Freight. The units are shipped from the US and Australia as breakbulk or on ro-ro vessels to Durban and road-hauled to Johannesburg on vehicles like the one below. The project is in its second year and will take up to four years to complete.
