There was no horsing around as South African Airways loaded its cargo for the 2014 South African Horse Racing Industry Meeting in Mauritius recently. The airline, which offers the only dedicated service for race horses from South Africa to Mauritius, has partnered with Mauritius Turf Club for the event. The airfreight export trade of race horses for the Mauritian horse racing industry also serves onward export to the Middle East and Europe, said SAA Cargo general manager Tleli Makhetha.
