Hansby quits Cape Chamber post

An offer he simply could not refuse
has prompted dynamic Ricardo
Hansby to quit after only two months
as executive director of the Cape
Town Chamber of Commerce and
Industry in favour of a national
government post as deputy directorgeneral
for finance and development
in Pretoria.
Hansby’s sudden departure has
come as a shock to the Chamber,
says president Michael Bagraim – but
it is not entirely unexpected, given
Hansby had from the outset admitted
to several employment irons in the
fire, one of these the position he has
belatedly been offered and accepted.
Hansby replaced Albert
Schuitmaker, executive director for
