The construction of a R90m tarred road through Tzaneen in the Limpopo province – which was blocked by a group of protesters late last month – has been given the green light following the local municipality being granted a court interdict.
Greater Tzaneen municipal spokesperson Neville Ndlala said the building of the 14.5km road in Zanghoma village near Tzaneen would resume on January 10.
The three-year project began in September 2015 and is 60% completed.
