CAPE TOWN-based warehousing and logistics specialists Global Commodities have expanded their reach to cover the full transport, distribution and warehousing spectrum. “This has been planned for some time,” says director Wynand Vletter, who set up the company with joint director Kotze van Wyk two years ago. The company has opened two warehouses in Paarden Eiland, 1 600m from the port of Cape Town, comprising a total of 5 600 m2 of which 1 600 m2 will be bonded from June 1. “Over and above our warehousing, packing/unpacking, loading/offloading, shrink-wrapping, consolidation and distribution service, we are also expanding our own range of imports to include cement, hardware and structural products,” said Vletter. A warehousing, distribution and transport network is already up and running, providing a service throughout Africa, he added.
