Logistics Alliance Germany (LAG) will introduce its free matchmaking service for South African manufacturers, exporters and logistics companies at the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce House on September 14.
LAG is an initiative by the German federal government to enhance the country’s status as the logistics hub and gateway to Europe. Germany borders nine European countries and provides access to 250 million potential customers.
The initiative will inform stakeholders how to use Germany as a hub to distribute products in Europe; appropriate partners to run door-to-door transport from South Africa to Europe/Germany; and how to handle legal or organisational issues related to logistics
