EXCELLENCE FORWARDING is faring excellently in the sea and import stakes, and targeting further export growth in both sectors for the year ahead. Marketing manager Roely van Slochteren reports substantial sea imports from China and significant growth in airfreight imports, high volumes coming from Australia. Having kicked off the New Year on a promising note, the aim is to markedly grow the export arm of the seafreight and airfreight divisions this year. Located in the new CTX Business Park, the company is further broadening its horizons by leasing premises at Cape Town International Airport to incorporate storage facilities. With branches in Johannesburg and Durban and looking to expand even further afield, the 14-year-old company strives to provide a service synonymous with its name, Excellence, says Van Slochteren. Aside from sea and air freight, imports and exports, it also handles FCLs and LCLs. “With agents worldwide, we are able to offer a door-to-door service, thus providing our clients with a service that frees them up to focus on more important aspects of their businesses, representing a wide range of import and export commodities,” says Ruth Boddington, branch manager. Excellence Forwarding belongs to a worldwide network of agents, Tandem Global Logistics, which it also represents in South Africa.
