Work has started on the extension of Lufthansa Cargo’s Cool Center at the Frankfurt hub.
Following completion, scheduled for later this year, it will offer 8 000 sqm of capacity.
It was opened in December 2011 and currently offers 4 500 sqm in four different temperature-controlled chiller rooms (2 to 8°C, 15 to 25°C, -12 to -20°C and 5 to 15°C) as well as a deep-freeze room – all with direct access to the apron.
