EMIRATES SKYCARGO has posted record results for the 2005-06 fiscal year achieving over US $1 billion (R6bn) in revenue and handling 1 million tonnes of cargo. The cargo volume represents an increase of more than 180 000 tonnes, or 21.5% over the previous year’s 838 400 tonnes. The cargo division’s revenue was 29.2% higher than the year before, and contributed 21.2% to the airline’s transport revenue.
