Leonard Neill WESTERN CAPE construction company Power Construction has won the R80-m contract that will kick-start the development of the duty-free zone in East London’s Industrial Development Zone (IDZ). Work will begin next month and will take about 14 months to complete, according to IDZ executive director Peter Miles. “The contract is for the development of the zone’s infrastructure, which is the first major step toward our future plans,” says Miles A national investment conference and exhibition will be held in the city on May 29 and 30 to which various investors have been invited.
