2nd ATI Customs and
Excise Tariff Policy Training
The African Tax Institute
(ATI) at the University of
Pretoria will, from October 30-
31, 2007, host a Customs &
Excise Tariff Policy workshop.
The workshop will
focus on tariff applications,
trade remedy applications,
and import and export
permit applications in the
Southern African Customs
Union (SACU), essentially
the customs and excise
tariff policy recommended
by the International Trade
Administration Commission of
South Africa (ITAC).
The workshop will be
addressed by experts in this
field of specialisation, as well
as senior officials from ITAC.
Workshop on EU & Africa
On October 31, 2007, the
Centre for European Studies,
University of Johannesburg,
and the Konrad Adenauer
Foundation will host a
workshop on the European
Union and Africa – challenges
and strategies for the future.
The workshop will be held at
the Pretoria Country Club.
