Durban logistics company announces acquisition

Turners Shipping has acquired the shipping division of DTB Cartage in a deal that was initiated earlier this year. “For us it is an opportunity to extend our business operations and expand our client base,” says Conrad Cochrane-Murray, chief executive officer of Durban-based Turners Shipping. The two companies have an established working relationship, with Turners having handled DTB’s freight forwarding business for the past five years. The two companies share a long tradition in the shipping business - DTB was established 108 years ago while Turners Shipping recently celebrated 116 years in the Industry.
