THE SHIPPING line CMA CGM
has been busy strengthening its
presence in Durban, the country’s
main port centre.
“We have been continuing to
reinforce our investment in SA,"
said Pam Yerushalmy, GM of CMA
CGM Shipping Agencies.
The line’s latest move has been
to appoint a Durban-based line
representative.
Corsica-born Philippe Fozzani has
extensive experience in the shipping
industry in Africa.
He started his career 10 years
ago, arriving to take up a shipping
post in Lagos, Nigeria with Delmas
– at that stage owned by the
French Bollore Group before its
recent takeover by CMA CGM.
His five-and-a-half year
stint there included a year in
Port Harcourt in projects for the
line.
The immediately past four-anda-
half years has seen Fozzani based
in East Africa – as agency GM for
Delmas in Ghana and Kenya.
