Dti’s Ruiters resigns

‘Time is right to explore new opportunities’ DIRECTOR-GENERAL of the Department of Trade and Industry, Alistair Ruiters, has resigned his post. Ruiters, who leaves the department at the end of this month, has spent almost 11 years at the dti, more than five of these as the director-general. “I felt that the time was right for me to consider other opportunities,” he said. ”I have been discussing my exit from the department with the minister and deputy minister for several months and have agreed to continue to work with them in the future on specific investment projects.”
