JOY ORLEK A DIRECT shipping service between Maputo and the Far East could soon be a reality. According to information supplied by the Maputo Corridor Logistics Initiative, Scans Trans has agreed to quote on a monthly service between Maputo and the Far East. The first vessel could begin calling mid May. While further details of the line and service were not available when this issue went to press, shippers have been called upon to provide information on potential volumes in order to establish the size of vessel best suited to the trade.
