Proflight Zambia will start direct flights from Lusaka to Durban this month. The airline said its latest route was part of a strategy to expand across southern Africa and make Lusaka a hub for air travel throughout the region.
Proflight will fly three times a week to Durban from September 22 using its 50-seater CRJ-100 aircraft. If demand proves strong, the airline will add a fourth weekly flight, it said in a statement.
Flight P0024 will depart Lusaka at 11h00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays arriving in Durban at 13h30, while the returning P0025 will depart Durban at 14h10 the same day, to arrive back in Lusaka at 16h40.
The Durban service also provides smooth connections with Proflight’s services between Lusaka and Ndola, Kitwe, Solwezi and Mfuwe.
