Diamond scores agency for Benin shipments

SHIPPERS EXPORTING to Benin can now buy the mandatory Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) from any of the local offices of Diamond Shipping which has been appointed local sub-agent for the Shipper’s Council of Benin. The blank CTN - which is mandatory for all shipments from South Africa to any destination in Benin - costs R900. One CTN must be issued for each bill of lading with certain exceptions. For conventional shipments from 300t, shippers are required to issue one CTN per 300t, but can regroup the total shipment on one CTN provided the full price of R900 is paid per 300t. R900 is payable for each separate parcel in the case of groupage containers. Further information is available from all Diamond Shipping offices.
