Neutral consolidator CFR
Freight’s airfreight products
to and from Gauteng are growing
at an “extraordinary level”, said
company MD, Martin Keck.
This, he said, because most of
CFR’s clients’ head offices are
based in Johannesburg and the
province features the largest
airport in Africa, OR Tambo
International Airport.
“Furthermore, Gauteng is
the hub for road transport
into neighbouring countries
and we are focusing on that
with our express division,” said
Keck, noting that Botswana,
Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi,
Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia
were all covered.
One of the greatest challenges
to growth into Gauteng were the
slow and unreliable rail links
from the ports, he added.
