Compensation bills before parliament

Malcolm Hartwell was recently invited to make submissions on behalf of the maritime law association (MLA) to the parliamentary transport subcommittee dealing with the compensation legislation. And he possibly showed the government departments involved in the tardy progress of the bills through each of their steps to promulgation just how fast you need to move. In his own words: “Following those submissions, and in conjunction with the state law adviser and the department of transport, we redrafted the bills that same afternoon. Those bills were then approved the next day by the parliamentary subcommittee and have been forwarded to parliament for approval.”
