Mozambique’s Office for Accelerated Development Economic Areas (Gazeda) has announced that Chinese company Dingsheng International Investment plans to invest US$500 million to set up a duty free zone in the port city of Beira. It is the third industrial zone to be established as part of the government’s plan to stimulate investment and economic development. Beira’s zone is called the Manga-Mungassa Special Economic Zone.
