Chavda expands with CT office

Africa specialist Chavda Freight has expanded its national network with the opening of an office in Cape Town headed up by Craig Lentz. Based at Airport City, the branch offers the full spectrum of logistics services by road, air and seafreight. “We offer an all-in package,” says Lentz, “and that includes clearing, forwarding, warehousing and packaging.” CEO Mahaveer Chavda is upbeat about volumes in 2012, particularly in the mining and construction sector, and the expanding network underscores his optimism. The Cape Town branch will offer consolidations and full truck loads to Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and the DRC, with Angola and Mozambique being key destinations for the company. “We’re able to cater for all cargo types including abnormal and hazardous,” said Chavda. One of the benefits that Chavda is able to offer its clients is speedy border clearance, he said. “Our experience and expertise ensure that cargo is swiftly and efficiently released.”
