Celtic celebrates Zambia milestone

In what has now become an annual event, Celtic Freight has just held a customer/company gettogether to celebrate Zambia’s independence day. It has a two-fold purpose according to marketing manager, Aileen Ryan. “First,” she said, “it serves a very convenient networking function – allowing us to meet all our clients, and show them what we do. “Second, in celebrating the 44th anniversary of Zambia’s 1964 new-found independence, it also acknowledges the business we do with that country.” In physical terms that business involves running a fleet of 100 trucks between SA and Zambia on a daily basis – carrying consolidated traffic on the northbound haul, and full-loads of cotton, coffee and similar commodities, along with some copper, on the home-bound leg.
