Cargocare Freight Services has set new performance measurement benchmarks for 2013, hoping to exceed its delivery time and document compliance targets. “In 2012 we exceeded by over 2% our 83% target on airfreight shipment deliveries within 10 hours of cargo availability. This year, the benchmark target is 85% and I’m confident we will reach it,” says Cargocare operations director, Sue Wood. Reaching the 98% target for documentation delivery was trickier last year, due to transport union activity and other unforeseen circumstances, with Cargocare achieving a 93% rating on that. Wood says the target remains 98% for 2013. “Having the right documentation is so critical to service delivery across the supply chain,” she says. Wood adds that meeting service delivery demands is always tough – especially with unknown factors such as global weather issues which can compound congestion at international airports.
