Buoyant economy pumps up demand

JAMES HALL “WORD OF mouth is bringing us a lot of business,” says Incotrans director Mauro de Rose. Satisfied customers are spreading the word, attracting business to the company located a convenient seven minutes from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. It helps that the South African economy’s performance has resulted in an upswing in business, De Rose told FTW. What customers get from Incotrans is a full range of freight clearing and forwarding services, into and out of South Africa. “We offer a full-service package, and we’re a multi-modal carrier – air, sea, road and rail. We use all modes depending on what is best for the customer,” said de Rose. A pair of delivery trucks handle small orders in the Gauteng area, and larger orders go out through sub-contracted delivery services. An on-site warehouse stores shipments for the fleeting time they are stationary between transportation legs.
