Botswana exporters have been advised to gear up for stiff competition following the signing of the SADC Free Trade Area (FTA) agreement at the recent SADC summit in Johannesburg. Trade and Industry assistant minister Duke Lefhoko told the annual general meeting of the Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association (BEMA) last Thursday that it was vital for companies to position themselves strategically to face this global competition.
