Birkart Globistics adds muscle in South America

IN A bid to strengthen its presence in South America, Thiel Logistik has acquired the majority holding in the newly founded company Birkart Globistics Chile SA. The shareholders of the new company, headquartered in Santiago de Chile, are the Thiel business unit Birkart Globistics air + ocean and its current partner company Globistics Chile S.A. “By integrating Globistics Chile into the worldwide network of Birkart Globistics we are establishing the basis for a strong commitment to the South America growth market,” said Berndt-Michael Winter, CEO of the board of directors of Thiel Logistik AG. Birkart Globistics air + ocean has worked in partnership with Globistics Chile SA for many years, completing a wide range of ocean and air freight service projects, especially goods traffic from Asia to Chile.
