Biggest ever project tests skills to the limit

THE TRADITIONALLY quiet January to March period this year followed a hectic December for Mitchell Packers which handled its biggest ever project in December last year – a 60 ton crusher mill destined for Nigeria. Ensuring that the mammoth machine was able to withstand the rigours of road transport to Durban followed by the sea leg to Nigeria and onward transport to final destination was all in a day’s work for Mitchell Packers. Needless to say the crusher reached its destination in pristine condition, says Mitchell Packers’ Greg Mitchell. Mitchell has often spoken out about the crucial importance of getting the packaging right first time. Cutting corners generally ends up being far more costly in terms of insurance claims and lost business when goods don’t arrive as scheduled.
