The Johannesburg Roads

Agency (JRA) is spending

billions of rands this year to

resurface roads and upgrade the

city’s bridges.

These include the Oxford,

Federation and double-decker

bridges on the M1 and M2 and

the Nelson Mandela, Booysens

Road, Queen Elizabeth and Le

Roux Avenue bridges in the city

centre.

In addition, R50 million has

been allocated to the resurfacing

of the M1, while R10m will be

spent on improvements to the M2.
