SPECIALISTS IN the sale and lease of used marine shipping containers, Big Box Containers has seen a significant increase in business since its buy-out in late 2004 of Royal Wolf Trading Africa, the domestic brand of Triton Containers International. Catering for big and small business, the BEE company’s diverse customer range includes several blue chip companies, says operations director Marguerita Feldman. Container conversions to customer specification are part of the business mix, and applications include offices, accommodation, ablution blocks, shops, garages, clinics, crèches and school classrooms. The containers are constructed of steel and are water-tight and fully lockable, which makes them suitable for materials and equipment storage, especially in the construction industry, says Feldman. “They can also be used for local and long-distance trucking.” Refrigerated models operate at temperatures from +15 degrees C to -20C and are ideal as holding rooms for chilled or frozen products, especially for the retail sector at peak holiday times,” she added.
