THE AP Moller group has kept at least one of the famous Big Whites which served in the SA-Europe Container Service for over 30-years in Safmarine colours under charter from owners Danaos. According to AXS Alphaliner, the 3 102-teu Helderberg is now being chartered by MCC Transport of Singapore – a subsidiary of APM-Maersk dealing with intra-Asia trades. She is replacing the 2 959- teu Maersk Petersburg on the Tanjung Pelepas-Singapore- Thailand feeder shuttle – and will be MCC’s largest ship.
