Airline strike drags on

The strike at Air Madagascar is now one week old, and that has meant most of the state-owned carrier's fleet grounded for that length of time.

It’s a very small strike in numbers. But, being flight crew and ground handling agents, they have a stranglehold on the airline.

The union is adamant that the strike will continue until the airline addresses their demands. But the airline has pleaded “no cash, no bills paid” - with the implication, “equals no airline, no jobs”.
