FRENCH NATIONAL airline Air France is being set up for privatisation with the finance ministry indicating it might reduce its current 54.4% holding to around 20%. This is seen as part of the new government's policy of selling off interests in a number of companies to raise capital. Air France was listed on the stock market three years ago. The intended 35% sale of the government stake would realise around EUR1.1-billion (about R10-bn) at its current share values.
