Air cargo industry takes flight in China

CLIVE EMDON CHINA’S AIR cargo sector has never been so busy with a dizzying list of cargo start-ups in the pipeline, reports China Daily. With an annual growth rate of 17% in the past decade, China is one of the world’s fastest growing air cargo markets. New freight companies include Jade Cargo, a joint venture between Shenzhen Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo; Shanghai Airlines Cargo, which will launch cargo flights between Shanghai and Frankfurt in October; and Great Wall Airlines, which launched its maiden flight in June.
