'Agent's agent' racks up new business

Independent Ibhayi Freight Services has established itself as the “agent’s agent” in Port Elizabeth by building up trust with all the agencies it works with says managing director Kevin Glegg. “We work with a large number of independent agents from around the country who do not have representation in the Eastern Cape. “They know that we will provide the same levels of service to their clients as to our own, and that we will respect their relationship with their clients,” he says. Although clearing can now be done remotely, agents are still needed on the ground when problems arise. “Most of the agents we deal with do not have enough local business to justify having an office in Port Elizabeth. We ensure that they can still service their clients,” says Glegg.
