Adding 'horsepower' to Zambian logostics

Musenge Musukwa, who was part of the African Cargo Services team that was included in the first FTW special feature on Zambia published in June 2005, has set up a locally owned transport and logistics company, Zambian Horse Power (ZHP). Serving sub-Saharan Africa, ZHP is an associate of African Cargo Services, and has full access to the company’s global network. Working out of Kitwe and Lusaka, ZHP provides the full range of transportation and logistics services for both local and international shipments, he says. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Musukwa has been part of the changes that have seen dramatic growth in the Zambian logistics sector. Being Zambian-owned he believes ZHP is well positioned to be a leader in the sector by providing a value-for-money service through combining ZHP’s experienced team on the ground in Zambia, the DRC and Tanzania with the global African Cargo Services network.
