Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has been named the best airport in Africa.
The airport took home the title at the annual 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards held in Amsterdam this week.
It was also ranked 19 in the category - The World’s Top 100 Airports – 2017.
Cape Town has landed seven new routes and facilitated the expansion of ten route in the region in the past two years as part of the Cape Town Air Access initiative of which the airport is part.
