ABU DHABI-based Etihad Airways plans to launch a South African service – possibly as soon as July this year.
Established in November 2003, the airline is keen to increase the 16 destinations which it currently serves to 70 and its fleet from five to 50 by 2010.
According to TNW, the airline’s all-Airbus fleet currently comprises four A330-200s and an A340-300. Last July it placed a R42,3bn order for 24 Airbuses.
