It seems that, after 40 years on the

SA trade, Zim is pulling out.

It has been confirmed that the

Zim Integrated Shipping Services

office in Durban is in the throes of

shutting down.

And a glance at the line’s

forward schedule shows no

signs of the Durban westbound

call on Zim’s Asia-West Africa

service – its last one on the SA

trade. So it would appear that its

long-standing shipping service is

shutting down as well.

MD Slava Liskovich is currently

in the Haifa, Israel head office

and has promised to give FTW the

whole story on his return.

CAPTION

After 40 years, Zim will no longer have a presence in SA.
