Strong Africa network a major advantage

Africa’s sustained development

will increasingly depend on

infrastructure quality and the

efficiency of logistics networks,

particularly airfreight, says

Tomi Nowak, MD of Aviair

Cargo International.

While

intimate

knowledge and

a hands-on

approach are

key to successful

logistics in

Africa, a

network of

dependable

partners across

the continent

is equally crucial. “One of

our advantages is the extent

and strength of our Africa

network,” says Nowak. “Our

hands-on attitude means

regular travel to all active

destinations and constant

‘on the ground’ information

gathering which is why Aviair

is well positioned to route

consignments where, when and

in the condition required.”

The company’s handson

service allows operators

to advise clients on

deconstructing airfreight

projects and to take advantage

of cost-effective routes, rates,

timelines and

methods, says

Nowak who has

over 16 years of

experience.

“In

Africa, being

committed

to ‘hands-on’

techniques

means ensuring

that unwanted

‘hands’ remain ‘off’ valuable

cargo. To be effective however,

it must be a tangible, on the

ground approach.”

Minimising risk and

improving supply chain

efficiency are top priority

for Aviair which names

among its client base

several multinationals and

African governments.

INSERT

Hands-on' approach

is key to successful

logistics.
