The second ‘Women in Rail and Logistics’ conference will be held from August 20-21 at the Amabhubesi Conference centre in Randburg.
It will probe issues aimed at improving gender diversity within the rail industry in Africa and promoting rail and logistics as attractive career choices for young women.
The diverse speaker line-up includes Allen Jorgensen, media and research officer of the Railroad Association of South Africa; Babalwa Dludlu, managing director/shareholder of Azon Rail; and Humaira Mooketsi-Choonara, executive manager: human resources Transnet Freight Rail (TFR).
