The world’s top three airfreight forwarders – based on revenues and airfreight demand – are DHL Global Forwarding, Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) and DB Schenker, respectively.
All three retained their top slots from last year’s figures.
The latest top 25 Global Freight Forwarders List, compiled by consultant Armstrong & Associates, revealed that the leading companies recorded a 7.7% year-on-year increase in revenues in 2014 to US$213bn, although airfreight demand amongst the top 25 increased by 0.4% to 13.5m tonnes.
DHL saw air volumes increase by 2.6% year on year in 2014 to 2.3m tonnes, K+N recorded a 5.3% increase to 1.2m tonnes and DB Schenker’s were up 1.8% to 1.1m.
