Truck drivers on the N4 near South Africa’s border post with Botswana, Skilpadshek, are advised of reported incidents of tyre burning on the highway.
This is not the first time that such incidents of public violence in the vicinity of Zeerust have been reported.
Recently South Africa’s stretch of the Trans-Kalahari Corridor into Botswana and Namibia was also sporadically disrupted by unruly elements in the same vicinity of the North West province.
Transporters are warned to avoid the area until further notice.
