THE US Conference confirmed on Monday morning that today (November 15) is the start-off date for the US$75 per TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit) congestion surcharge at the Port of Durban. This will be added to the freight rate for all incoming and outgoing containers on the SA-US trade.
