Disruptive Uber-style
technology has arrived
in the form of Swiftly,
described as the “world’s
first collaborative shipping
platform”.
And the company behind
the technology is Ghanabased
Lyris KO.
“Our inventions are
tailored to be disruptive in
nature, we want people to
have fun and we want to
make life easier for people
using technology,” says the
company on its website.
Swiftly is an app that
was launched in Ghana this
month.
It “enables people who
want to ship from one
location to another to share
extra space in their container
or package when shipping by
sea or by air to every location
worldwide.
“It allows users to share
hired delivery services,” says
the company.
Tracking and tracing is
done through the systems of
the carrier company.
Each party is registered
as a co-signatory to the
shipment.
The platform also
allows entrepreneurs to set
themselves up as independent
couriers.
“We carry the burden
of genius, and we promise
not to rest until users have
simpler, faster and more
convenient experiences,” say
the team behind Swiftly.
