Earlier indications that the N4 highway connecting Gauteng with regions in the east was incident free, given the attacks on logistics operators and infrastructure since the weekend, have been dispelled with warnings issued to transporters to avoid Emalahleni (Witbank).
A message sent to the Transit Assistance Bureau (Transist) says “people must stay out of town.
“Unrest has started there as well.”
Truck drivers about to use the Maputo Corridor to Komatipoort and beyond should reroute around Emalahleni, the Transist member recommends.
